Chocolate dipped strawberries and a petite 3-tiered serving dish…

I had a fun, smaller gathering of women at my home last night.  I hosted an Arbonne party for a close friend of mine who recently joined Arbonne as a consultant.  We all had fun playing with skin care products, makeup, drinking wine and eating yummy treats !
I really enjoy entertaining and especially love paying close attention to detail when doing so.  An inviting, warm and pretty table is something I just love creating.
So earlier in the afternoon, I decided to make a pretty petite 3-tiered serving plate that I have been wanting to do.  This project literally cost me $2, AND was fast and super easy.
To make this serving plate(s) I used:  3 smaller plates I had tucked away in one of my cabinets, 2 clear glass dollar store candleholders, Gorilla Glue (the kind that dries white), and a toothpick.
I didn’t take photos of each step but it’s really easy to figure out.  I started by using the largest plate, put a thin coat of Gorilla Glue on the bottom of the first glass candleholder and placed it in center of the plate and waited for it to dry.  I followed this step with the  next two plates which were the same size.  Gorilla Glue works wonderfully, but you have to be careful not to use too much as it really, really expands !
For my chocolate dipped strawberries I poured an entire package of Ghiradelli milk chocolate bits into my mini crockpot.  After the chocolate bits were melted and my strawberries were washed and patted dry, I dipped them into the chocolate and laid them on wax paper for the chocolate to harden.

For the white chocolate “drizzle” I put a handful of white chocolate wafers into the microwave for about 2 mins.  Once the chocolate was totally melted, I poured it into a pastry bag and just drizzled each strawberry in sort of a zig zag movement….simple!  I love the contrast of the 2 chocolates and they did taste deeee-lish!

Here is how the strawberries looked on my 3-tiered petite serving dish…

LOVE, love ,love….chocolate covered strawberries. Your 3-tiered serving dish came out really nice! I have heard of Gorilla Glue, but have never used it. Does it dry clear?

Thank you Laura! Actually, the Gorilla Glue I have dries yellowish or white…not sure they have clear ???
