A colorful, fun-filled, ice cream 8th birthday party!

Our daughter Elle turned eight this weekend.  Elle decided that instead of a big party, she wanted to invite her 2 closest friends over for a sleepover party!
I started preparing the details for the party the beginning of the week.  I wanted to make this party extra-special for my sweet girl since we didn’t have a party last year.
I had so much fun finding neat little details and elements to add to her party, I just love details { Elle does too and she really appreciates it ! }.
At the end of this post I have linked up where I found the tutorials and printables.
Jelly beans
An “8″ made with two wreaths (see instructions below)
A fun “celebrate” paper bunting
Large paper flowers add a lot of color!
I just love these flower topiaries!
Fun labels made from scrapbook paper and printable labels
Mis-matched vintage spoons
Lots of glass mis-matched bowls I found at the Dollar Tree and Savers!
Fun, vibrant colored flowers were the centerpiece.  The “8″ was made with felt, cardboard and sequins.
Printable I found (see below) and edited in Adobe Photoshop Elements
Colorful, paper ball
Celebr-8!
8 is great!  I found these fun soda fountain glasses at Savers for $1.99 a piece!
More jelly beans!  I scattered sequins on the white table runner for more color and sparkle!
Yummy!
We took a trip to the Build a Bear workshop
Myah just loves her big sister!
We found this furry little guy on a trip to the pet store.  Elle thought he would make the “perfect birthday present”.  No such luck….sorry Elle!
The girls took a dip in the hot tub while I made dinner.
Cheeeeeeese-burgers!
Followed by ice cream sundaes…..YUM YUM YUM!
The girls danced and later headed upstairs for popcorn and a movie.  Surprisingly, they weren’t up too – too late.
However, they were up before 7am.  Myah had the stomach bug…poor thing :(
Rainbow pancakes for breakfast!
Fun, feathery masks I found at the Dollar Tree! {….and of course who doesn’t love whoopie cushions?!? }
My girl is 8!
Our first trip to the American Girl doll store, my Mom { Mammy } came along.
Kanai came home with us!
A birthday dinner with our family { minus poor Myah }.  Followed by a cake and makings wishes…
8 is great!
Most everything was perfect.  Elle was thrilled.  Happy birthday big girl, we love you so very much!
