The minute I saw this tutorial via Tidy Mom, I knew I wanted to make my own…
Waterless snow globes!
A few years back, our girl scout troop made snow globes using baby food jars, water, corn syrup and glitter.
They came out super cute, but I found my daughters had a very slow leak, which ended in a very sticky situation!
I have seen them using liquid glycerin as well, but I just couldn’t seem to find liquid glycerin and decided to go the waterless route.
Here is what I used to make my waterless snow globes:
:: Miscellaneous jars I had collected from pickles, marshmallow, baby food, sauce jars, etc.
:: Trees from Joann ~ at the time I got a pack of 20 for 60% off, they also have them at the dollar store.
:: Buffalo snow
:: Pom poms
:: ribbon or rick rack
:: miniature carolers found at the Dollar Store
:: Tiny gold stars I bought from AC Moore
:: glue gun and glue sticks
You could use just about anything you can fit in your jar, the possibilities are endless!
I didn’t take pictures during, but here is how they came out…
