My St. Patrick’s wreath

I made this little number last night.

It’s school vacation around here so needless to say, I haven’t had a lot of crafting time.

I did manage to put this together pretty quickly though, AND while watching Idol with the big guy.

{ big guy =  Michael, my hubby }

I didn’t have a plan in place for this wreath, I just knew I wanted to incorporate pom poms.

Have you ever seen one of these little gadgets ??

This is a pom pom maker tool-thingy that came in one of my girls craft kits.

We’ve literally had this thing laying around for years and have yet to use it !

I finally tried using it and was so surprised at how quickly you can make pretty, fluffy, full pom poms in a snap !

So I made several, using yarn in shades of green.

For this project I started with a straw wreath.

Wrapped the entire thing using scraps of drop cloth fabric.

Glued my green pom poms randomly on both sides.

Made a scrap paper bunting in several shades of green, glued to a piece of jute and hung on my wreath.

And that’s that.

I really like how it turned out.

And just LOVE the pom poms.

Such cute, fluffy lil’ guys.

:)

Have you ever used one of these pom pom makers before ?!?

Pretty cool invention for sure.

Thanks for looking!
