Valentine’s framed cupid

{ a-hem, oh sorry, I must of gotten carried away with that classic Sam Cooke song }.

Anyway, I wanted to share this cute, easy and fun Valentine decor idea.

So you know those dollar bins at Target right ?!?

I know, it’s so hard to just walk by them without taking a quick peek.

 I actually found this cute LOVE wrapping paper in one of those bins and it was only $1 !

 Of course I scooped it right up, I got another one as well in a different pattern for future use.

I thought this paper would be great for wrapping Valentine’s gifts as well to use to decorate.

Here is what I made with it ~ a Valentine’s framed cupid.

Cute little guy huh ?!?

~~~~~~~~~
Here’s what I used for mine, but you could totally improvise with things you have laying around your home.
::  An unused frame I had tucked away
::  LOVE wrapping paper
:: Cupid silhouette graphic printed from The Graphics Fairy here
:: Scotch tape
::  Scissors and X-acto knife
:: Glue stick
~~~~~~~~

First I took my frame, took out the mat(s) and cleaned both sides of the glass.

Next, I cut out my little arrow wielding guy using scissors and an X-acto for the finer details.

Next I just wrapped my mat(s) like I would a present, used a glue stick to attach my cupid, then put it all back into the frame.

That’s it !

I have the frame sitting on an easel I already had laying around.

 I think this is such a fun addition to our Valentine decor, so colorful yet simple.

And he’s just so darn cute !

~~~~~~
Now I’ll leave you with that Sam Cooke song.
But you can’t blame me if you find yourself humming it all day long !
